SouthCon Building Group received an ENR Award of Merit in the Small Project category for their work on the Southern First Bank Regional Headquarters in Charleston, SC. This award recognizes excellence in construction for projects that demonstrate innovation and exceptional execution.
SouthCon Building Group was honored for their high-quality work on the Southern First Bank Regional Headquarters, a three-story, 17,000-square-foot facility in downtown Charleston. The project overcame significant challenges, including demolition of an old structure and complex site conditions.
The Southern First Bank facility features a “floating” staircase and custom balustrade crafted by a local blacksmith. Despite unforeseen challenges, including the sudden closure of the concrete contractor, SouthCon delivered the project on time and within budget.
