Project Description

SouthCon Building Group was selected by Blue Bell Creameries of Texas to build their first distribution transfer facility in Charleston, South Carolina. The building construction is conventional steel framed with joist girders and bar joists. The exterior walls are five inch insulated metal wall panels and the roof is a TPO membrane roof. The HVAC system is a split system heat pump with separate cooling condensers for the freezer and warehouse. The facility has a freezer capacity for an entire months supply of ice cream awaiting distribution to the local retail locations.
