Project Description

Carner Avenue Senior Center is a 12,303 SF, single story building in North Charleston, SC that includes a fitness room, exercise room with various equipment, multiple activity rooms, an indoor exercise pool, locker rooms and two regulation pickleball courts.

The building consists of a structural steel frame and joists with metal stud walls, brick veneer and cementitious siding, aluminum storefront windows and door systems, standing seam metal roof, TPO membrane roof, decorative ceiling cloud, custom casework and window/door trim, LVT flooring, ceramic tile walls and flooring, window treatments, exposed structure ceilings with acoustic spray insulation and exposed timber trusses and roof decking in the pool area.

The exterior consisted of new asphalt parking lots, ornamental aluminum fencing, several outdoor seating areas, brick pavers, two regulation pickleball courts with shade structure, dry sediment basin, landscaping and irrigation system.
